Dr. Valentina Benitez, ND
Naturopathic Doctor
I earned my doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), where I also completed my residency. Today, I serve as adjunct faculty at NUNM, teaching physiology and pathology, work that continues to deeply reinform my clinical practice and keeps me rooted in the science and art of how the body works. I've been caring for patients for over seven years and I practice this medicine on myself and my family.
My practice is rooted in collaboration. No matter how long it takes, I want to hear your whole story because the details matter, and you deserve a provider who has time for them. We investigate together, look at the full picture, and make decisions as a team. I run comprehensive labs and approach every result from a functional and physiological lens. This means I often find answers in places other providers have already looked but didn't see. Subclinical patterns, nutrient deficiencies, interconnected systems quietly affecting one another. Things that explain why you feel the way you feel.
I'm also deeply passionate about teaching. I want you to leave every appointment understanding your body, not just with a plan, but with the knowledge behind it. I believe that understanding is its own form of medicine. And I'm open to every tool that helps us get there, including pharmaceutical support when it's the right fit.
My care is individualized. No protocols, no one-size-fits-all. I lean most often on nutrition and lifestyle, herbal medicine, functional lab testing, and bodywork. I see patients in person and virtually, work alongside your other providers when helpful, and welcome questions between visits because care doesn't end when you walk out the door.
My door is open to everyone. This includes people navigating chronic concerns, and people who are well and want to stay that way. Whether you're trying to conceive, hoping for a healthy pregnancy, raising littles, or thinking about how to age with vitality and intention, this kind of care is for you. I have a special love for seeing whole families: babies, children, and parents at every stage, from well child visits to prenatal and postpartum care.
Health and harmony are always possible. Let's figure it out together.
Testimonials
“My whole family has been seeing Dr. Benitez for a while now. She's the kind of doctor that makes you feel deeply cared for. She supported me all throughout my pregnancy and postpartum, including pelvic floor therapy, lab tests and supplement support, light lactation consulting, and more. When my son was born, she saw him, diagnosed his first ear infection and supported us through both antibiotics and rebuilding his gut flora with probiotics and diet support. She has supported our whole family - often responding to us nights and weekends with help, support, and advice. I have referred multiple friends to her who have all been deeply supported by Dr. B. We are lucky to have her!” — Suzanna K.
“I’ve been seeing Dr. Benitez for about four years and have really come to trust and appreciate her. My wife and kids see her as well. She’s helped me with general health questions, bloodwork analysis, wellness, and the wellbeing of my spirit in a way that feels thoughtful and grounded. I appreciate that she takes the time to look at the whole picture, understand what may be going on at the root, and talk through options beyond just jumping straight to medication. I’m grateful for her care and guidance, and for the support she provides to my family.” — Kent L.
“Dr Benitez is wonderful, she listens, is accessible, and pays attention to every little detail. In one visit she accurately diagnosed the root cause of my health issue my previous doctor basically ignored. I am so grateful to her!” — Krissa C.
